The Affordability Cost Engineer (ACE) is responsible for developing and executing the Specialty Engineering Affordability processes. Affordability includes Total Ownership Cost (TOC), Life Cycle Cost (LCC), Performance Based Logistics (PBL), Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), maintenance, repair, and warranty. Responsibilities include predicting/forecasting program cost through the full program life cycle while identifying cost impact of the changes to program parameters such as design, reliability, testability, maintainability, supportability, and sustainment.
Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:
Evaluate the performance, cost, schedule and risk trade space to provide the customer the "best value" solution while meeting war-fighter needs.
Perform a top-down, bottom-up, continuous, and comprehensive process that facilitates decisions to influence TOC in concert with the operational needs.
Assist Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) lead and program management in making informed decisions when bidding proposals and negotiating contracts.
Develop, modify, or enhance existing Cost Estimating Relationships.
Conduct statistical analyses such as risk, probability, sensitivity, payback, six sigma.
Develop and/or implement LCC/CLS/warranty cost methodologies, processes, and tools.
Write proposal sections regarding cost methodologies, processes, tools, trades, etc.
Predict cost using tools such as CASA, PRICE-H, ACE-IT, SEER, RAYCALM,.
Provide direction, vision, and training/mentoring to others (both subordinates & other functions) to enable the growth of Raytheon's expertise in supportability cost modeling and analysis.
Security Clearance & Other Requirements:
This position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date
Must possess excellent Math and Statistics skills, and good attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work independently and to deliver accurate documentation under deadline pressures
Familiarity with the following tools/applications: PowerPoint, Access, MSWord and MS Office applications.
Must have excellent Excel skills.
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
Active Secret Security clearance
Ability to write Macros in EXCEL
Knowledge of Finance /Business/Accounting
Ability to work well with all organizational levels and possess both good oral communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree with a major in Math, Engineering, Statistics or Logistics or a closely related STEM field by summer 2021.
