We are currently seeking a Vibration Test Specialist that could be an Engineer or Experienced Dynamics Technician. Entry level Mechanical Engineers having completed courses in Dynamics and Signal Processing would be preferred.
The Vibration Test Specialist will:
Work directly with customers to define, develop and conduct vibration testing programs for a variety of applications (automotive, aerospace, military, nuclear, etc.)
Perform or delegate testing, as required, to meet deadlines and workload requirements
Review customer specifications to support quotation activity as well as testing
Manage projects for quality, timing and cost
Keep accurate record of all testing and strictly follow internal QA policies
Understanding of vibration testing concepts (sinusoidal vibration, random vibration, classical shock, SRS, etc.)
Hands-on experience with:
Electrodynamic shakers and controllers (Unholtz-Dickie, Thermotron, Vibration Research)
Data acquisition and signal processing (FFT, spectral analyzers)
Temperature/Humidity chambers (CSZ, Thermotron, ESPEC)
Excellent oral/written skills
Familiarity with Excel/Word

Familiarity with shakers, MIL-STD-810, RTCA/DO-160 is preferred
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Entry level Mechanical Engineers having completed courses in Dynamics and Signal Processing would be preferred. Electrical Engineers with a background in dynamics testing may be considered as well.
