The Project Engineer brings strategies and visions to life by evaluating and validating all possible outcomes that improve production and the feasibility as well as creates the plan of action and converts it into a sustainable business improvement. Through innovation, design, tactical planning, and implementation, this role propels Clow to ensure that the Mission, Vision, and Values are fulfilled.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Customer: Design, implement, and manage all aspects of a project within the customer’s deadline 95% of the time.
Safety: Identify and resolve issues within the deadline and stay on track 100% of the time.
Inspections: Complete on-time according to schedule 100% of the time.
Leadership: Score a 4.5 out of 5 on survey.
Innovation:Initiate 2 new projects per year.
Project Management (45%): Create and cultivate relationships within organization and be the conduit for information to ensure the consistency of flow of communication for overall project improvement. Coordinate and effectively communicate with sales team, Managers, and other stakeholders to bring projects to completion for Clow Valve. Provide a clean space for an exceptional interdepartmental experience and ease of project delivery through a fierce attention to detail and astute management of projects. Diligently review calendars and follow up on all projects to ensure they are on track while negotiating new deadlines when needed. Manage, plan, and design output items and direct the procurement of raw materials as well as resources including Contractors. Astutely vet Contractors and decide who to hire by comparing costs against the market to guarantee effective negotiation. Ensure contractors are in compliance with ISN and insurance regulations.
Safety/Compliance (20%): Manage annual hoist and lifting device inspections. Adhere to EHS, ISM, and insurance regulations. Identify issues for safety compliance, timely resolve them, and ensure they are kept on track.
Leadership (20%): Encourage interdepartmental leadership by clearly communicating expectations and collaborating on projects while promoting engagement by ensuring all parties remain on track.
Administration (15%): Manage project financials and stay within the allotted budget by keeping track of expenses and collecting on outstanding orders. Track projects and compile monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to share with management.
CAD Software, MS Suite with expert level in Excel, and 3D Modeling Software experience.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Mechanical Engineering degree required.
Previous experience in project management preferred.
PC skills such as AutoCad and/or SolidWorks required.
