TPI is a recognized industry leader in composite materials design, testing and manufacturing. The company specializes in the fabrication of composite structures for the electronic transportation market.
The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for the execution of customer and TPI quality requirements at the Warren, RI site. He/she is the primary quality representative with customers, suppliers, and colleagues. Key stakeholders include customer personnel, Site Management Team members, Strategic Markets Leadership, Global Quality, and the TPI Executive Team.
Lead the execution of customer and TPI Quality requirements and fully accountable for the Quality performance of the Warren site.
Acts as the Voice of the Customer on Quality topics.
Liaises with the Strategic Markets Quality team, providing information on Quality activities and the status of Quality KPIs.
Collaborates with Local teams across all functions.
Escalates critical Quality issues to the Strategic Markets Leadership in a timely manner and leads their resolution.
Ensures the successful implementation of Global systems and process in the site.
Manages the Quality Management System (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, AS 9100) for the site.
Recruits, evaluates, and supervises Quality team members.
Ensures appropriate Quality participation in projects such as launches and transitions.
Ensures adequate resources to execute requirements (capacity and competence).
Prevents the production and/or shipment of defective or non-compliant products to customers.
Participates as a member of the Site Management Team.
Creates and promotes a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and fun while delivering to or exceeding expectations.

BS/BA in engineering, quality, management, or related field of study
Advanced degree preferred.
5+ years’ experience in Quality at manufacturing companies required.
Tier 1 automotive supplier experience preferred.
Experience working with basic Quality concepts (e.g., GD&T, check lists, Pareto analysis) required.
Experience in 8D or other structured problem-solving methods required.
English fluency required.
Composites experience preferred.
Experience with AIAG Core Tools preferred.
ASQ membership and certifications (e.g., CQE, CSSBB, CQA) preferred.
Experience with Lean/Six Sigma/DFSS/DMAIC preferred.
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or similar training preferred.
