The Senior O&M Engineer is a critical role within O&M of the Offshore Business focussing on the delivery of O&M scope of works at the O&M bases of our operational offshore windfarms. The role will involve working with the IBR site teams, Contractors, and multiple departments within Offshore O&M, Offshore Operations and Global Services to ensure that SPR’s/ Iberdrola long term asset value and production revenue is maximised.
Belonging to the Asset Integrity Management Department Team, and reporting to a Lead O&M Engineer or the Department Manager, the Senior O&M Engineer will be responsible for managing and coordinating all back office technical support for the sites.
The Senior O&M Engineer is a qualified experienced professional providing advice & expertise across a range of technical disciplines.
Focus on reducing the yield loss caused by minor correctives through the development and implementation of new solutions and tasks.
Handle technical queries for the offshore technicians and platform managers and make regular offshore visits.
Be responsible for the remote monitoring of our assets using our software tools and SCADA.
Participate in IBR technical forms and generate reports for operational management
manage the implementation of new technical solutions ensuring high quality delivery
develop future maintenance strategies with operational management.
Perform proactive diagnosis and trend analysis on our wind turbines to increase reliability and you will develop these in to the technical authority on site whilst working in collaboration with your specialist colleagues in AIM. In addition you will provide technical support to the operational management team.
You will write technical reports and supply the management team with analysis on turbine failure and design, implement and manage small turbine based project implementations.
Habilidades y Requerimientos
Have an electrical or mechnical apprenticeship or equivalent
Ideally, will be qualified to degree level or hold a higher national diploma or certificate in electrical or mechnical engineering
Ideally, you will have experience of working on the Adwen 5MW wind turbine
Good knowledge and some industrial experience of a relevant area of technical speciality (Large, modern Wind Turbines mechanical or electrical).
are able to demostrate experience of in-depth analysis and trouble shooting of complex technologies.
are able to demonstrate prior experience of statistical and trend analysis using complex datasets.
LANGUAGES: German, English fluent.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Have knowledge of electrical generation and converter technology, gearboxes, electrical control systems, SCADA and fibre optics
have knowledge of statistical analysis and diagnostic techniques
Developed report writing, presentation skills and ability to summarize key parameters and drivers impacting the project and business.
