Manufacture production parts as needed and test parts for customer evaluations per engineers' instructions. Duties may include operating a blanking press, high temperature furnace, various grinding and machining equipment.Machining experience or ability to read CAD drawings a plus.
Operate all associated manufacturing equipment per standard procedures. Set up machine per approved procedure to verify quality parts.
Document part information and machine settings for our records.
Ability to interface with other disciplines such as maintenance and facilities personnel and provide feedback with solutions to assist in continuous improvement.
Read, interpret drawings, schematics and specifications.
Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed above. Required to wear safety glasses and steel-toed shoes. May be required to stand for long periods of time and be capable of bending, stretching and pulling. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals; such as acids, solvents, oils, fuels, gases.
Must have knowledge of mechanical components, applications, and equipment. Candidate should have knowledge and experience in handling common measurement tools and software applications such as Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of electrical and control components, applications, and equipment a plus. Technical hobbies such as automotive repair and upgrading a plus. Light machining skills a plus.
Minimum of a High School Diploma, however, an A.A. or equivalent from a college or technical school with related experience and/or training would be a plus.
