Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. has a current job opening for a Part Time on Call Serious Game Programmer/Developer I in Warrenton, VA.
Summary: Develops complex interactions and game levels/sequences to emulate or simulate technical training challenges and solutions. Designs programming and develops multiple avenues for deployment for military and commercial customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and implement systems to support serious gaming needs (user interactions/user interface).
Help to maintain and improve existing systems.
Write clear, maintainable, portable, and highly functional code.
Profile and perform tuning of code and systems to remove bottlenecks.
As needed work on tools and technology tasks to support specific project requirements.
Testing and debugging of your code and that of others past and present.
B.S. degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
2+ years’ experience in Unity
Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens
Active Secret clearance
Experience working in a 3D Modeling Software Program
Artist and/or programmer background
Programming experience in C#
Experience in interaction design and game design
Experience designing game objects and game interactions in Unity
Experience with technical training and mechanical operation and maintenance concepts
Strong math abilities.
Commitment to code quality and sound testing procedures.
Self-motivated with good communication skills.
Able and motivated to work with other team members.
Experience in 3D Model Texturing
Experience in Rigging and Animating 3D Models
3+ years Unity experience
3+ years’ experience in a 3D Modeling Software Program
2+ years programming in Unity using C#
Experience with developing instructional media or gamification of instructional content
Frequent sitting, standing, feeling with hands, reaching with arms.
Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
Occasional lifting up to 20+ pounds.
