Under the supervision of the Director, Equipment Engineering, the engineer will provide technical support primarily for reagent related equipment for MEGA. The engineer will oversee the installation and commissioning of reagent equipment for the MEGA project. The engineer will understand the requirements for the reagent portion of the MEGA project including conditioning of feedwater, treatment of wastewater, steam generation, equipment sanitization, fluid instrumentation and controls. The engineer will be responsible for the start-up of this process equipment to the requirements and standards for MEGA reagent production specified by Process Engineer

ing. The start-up duties will include preparing engineering documentation, specifying and setting up the controls for various systems as well as developing and executing validation for the equipment. On-going duties will involve providing engineering support for the proper functioning of the systems to ensure successful reagent production.
Duties and Responsibilities

provide engineering expertise related to water systems, both feedwater conditioning and wastewater treatment
produce engineering documentation for the layout and setup of equipment and systems
guide the development of the controls system for process monitoring, including external connections
have technical oversight for instrumentation and fluidic control components such as valves, pumps, pressure regulators, pressure sensing, temperature sensing, mass sensing, flow sensing, and water quality sensors
understanding plumbing and pipework and related regulations in Ontario
develop and support a calibration strategy for all components providing process and control data
support the validation of the equipment

industrial experience desirable
working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) and other engineering tools
