Product Portfolio Planner
As a Senior Product Owner in Sales and Marketing, you will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a set of product capabilities to ensure that NI provides an optimal experience for both internal and external customers. You will define the direction for your product by working closely with business users and customers to understand their needs and then partner with a product team of systems analysts, developers, and quality analysts to bring to life solutions to meet those needs.

The NI Sales and Marketing organization is undergoing a strategic business transformation to provide world-class sales and marketing capabilities to support our core strategic vision. This role will be pivotable to delivering the right capabilities as part of the top enterprise priority for NI and will be a multi-year journey that entails implementation of new business processes through world-class technology.

Key Responsibilities

Defines and articulates a product vision and product KPIs to met customer needs and maximize business value
Defines, validates, and communicates a product roadmap that balances time-to-market with customer, business, and architecture needs
Serve as a voice outside the team to represent the product capabilities and value
Ensures development of right product features by engaging with business, end users, and product team manager to understand desired outcomes, processes, policies, and pain-points
Creates and manages a product backlog that represents the work (user stories) of the product team
Sets priorities for the product backlog aligned to business priorities and technical needs/capabilities
Partners with team, customer experience, IT, and business to define the details needed to complete a work item (e.g. requirements, acceptance criteria)
Shares goals and vision with team and ensures understanding and alignment to meeting goals
Participates in team ceremonies to provide direction, feedback, and support
Provides feedback to team on progress, SLAs, and sign-off (acceptance) of team’s work
Partners with business, product team manager, and IT leadership on product lifecycle and funding
Champions the results of the team


Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Data Science) or equivalent experience
5+ years of Agile Product Owner experience in the technology space

Preferred Qualifications

Strong business domain knowledge within Sales and/or Marketing
In-depth knowledge of Agile Scrum process and principles
