In this role you will be on a team of Quality Engineers at the Woonsocket site that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding creative, efficient means to improve quality output and continuous improvements. You will drive process initiatives that ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations and engineering specifications while instilling site accountability for governance of the Quality System, product acceptance, and product quality.
Most Meaningful Job Responsibilities
Designs, implements, evaluates, and revises, technical quality assurance protocols/methods for the inspecting and testing of in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products.
Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both Honeywell quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations.
Performs analysis of reports and production data and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary.
Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed.
Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.
Works directly with customers to support product/process evaluations, audits, and compliance to customer-specific requirements.
Performs internal audits of processes and functions to assure continued compliance to international standards and requirements.
Leads and facilitates multi-disciplined RCCA, problem-solving and risk analysis.
Position will support compliance to ISO9001, AS9100, and other meaningful international standards.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field
3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer
Experience with ISO9001
Experience with AS9100 or TS16949 compliance is highly desired as is experience in IPC-610 and IPC-J-STD-001
Six Sigma Certification
Ability to work equally well with executive, engineers, supervisors, and operators as well as work both independently and within a team
Proficiency in interpreting and applying established standards.
Ability to identify problems and update or modify working methods in own role
