VAO E-Learning Programmer
Location: Virtual

Virtual Acquisition Office (VAO) is a comprehensive workforce development solution that engages acquisition professionals, financial assistance professionals and their peers, and boosts their productivity and career potential. VAO includes collaboration and productivity tools, best practices templates, online curricula, and summaries of breaking regulatory and legislative news vital to acquisition and financial assistance professionals.


Support new user experience designs based on client requirements to create engaging and compelling UIs; designs, develops, delivers, and validates sound e-learning modules, instructor-led courses, webinars, user guides, job aids, and other training resources
Support new course development projects, updates of established courses, peer reviews, and resource coordination internally for VAO and Applied Learning Online (ALO), as well as support to client agencies
Lead for graphics design and style concepts, to include branding concepts
Communicate frequently with the training team and SMEs to ensure that training goals and objectives are being met
Utilize MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat applications to create and print a variety of materials
Navigate a Learning Management System (LMS), Content Management System (CMS), and SharePoint where course content is housed and packaged
Utilize course development tools to create course content, prototypes, beta testing, and graphic design review
Perform quality assurance reviews of course materials produced prior to delivery/publication

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Practical experience with development tools and software (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Connect), Office 365 (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel), Skype for Business (or other virtual meeting tools), and with learning program design systems and software (Lectora, ReviewLink, Camtasia, SnagIt, Moodle, Saba);
Highly self-motivated with the ability to deliver within established timeframes
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as in groups
Proven writing, editing and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements: Qualified candidates will need to communicate frequently to co-workers and commute to multiple work facilities as needed
