Position Overview: We're hiring a SharePoint Architect and Developer to work on a new project in Anchorage, Alaska supporting the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) This position will design and maintain a robust SharePoint platform in support of a large government enterprise. This dynamic position will deliver a wide range of capabilities using SharePoint, SharePoint extensions, and custom development. A successful candidate will be responsible for providing a highly intuitive and full range SharePoint library that supports 10K+ documents, front-end development, integration, and support services; to include necessary administration, maintenance, and stakeholder demonstrations / training. This individual will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SharePoint and should be familiar with Agile delivery models, framework, and terminology.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead design, implementation, and administration of organizational SharePoint infrastructure and architecture design for the Department of Interior (DOI).
Collaborate with government managerial, engineering, project manager, and technical personnel to clarify project requirements and translate customer's vision into an exceptional product.
Manage SharePoint 2010 architecture and the design of a searchable 10K+ document library; performs administrative duties (as required) using SharePoint Central Administration, PowerShell, and SharePoint online.
Develop and manage database systems, image processing, collaborative tools, data manipulation techniques, data visualization techniques, and directory services.
Perform revision, repair, or expansion of existing SharePoint Sites to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
Present SharePoint designs in a manner that fosters efficient and effective understanding of data.
SharePoint experience in architecture, design, development, configuration, implementation, and continuing maintenance of customized portals and solutions.
Experience with SharePoint 2010/2013 and future migration to SharePoint Online; including application development, migrations, and ongoing client-side maintenance support.
Experience with creation of intuitive user interfaces and sites within the SharePoint environment.
Experience in the implementation of SharePoint collaboration tools (forums/issue lists, document/form libraries, etc.), and the ability to seamlessly integrate with other Microsoft tools
Experience with SharePoint branding with knowledge of creating and editing master pages, page layouts, HTML, and CSS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in information Technology, Computer Science or a related field of study
Four years of relative professional experience
Must be a Citizen of the United States of America
Must be able to obtain a successfully adjudicated National Criminal History Check (NCHC) and National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) or higher
