Product Owner
Maple Grove, MN
Job Purpose:
This individual will be a lead user of ProAg’s products. As features are prioritized, the Product Owner will be responsible for working with the scrum team to deliver features to production.

The Role:
This position will partner with key stakeholders to analyze potential features that could be developed within the product(s). The individual will have full understanding on products user workflow, backend processes and potential change impact. This position will be located in ProAg’s Maple Grove, MN office and will report to the Manager of Product Owners & Business Analysis.

Performance Objectives:
Providing vision and direction to the software development team. This position will act as a primary liaison between the software development and business.
Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and conceptual development of a product(s)
Participate in the visioning for applications and/or processes by defining the ‘How’ and understanding alignment to the corporate goals and objectives. Within the first 30 days, this position will understand our current agile & operating model processes.
Lead the development kick off sessions and set expectation for delivery of new functionality.


The ideal candidate for the Product Owner position will have demonstrated success in the primary areas of focus and responsibility.

Experience – Ideally, the successful candidate will have:
Minimum of eight years of relevant and progressive professional experience
Eight years of progressive experience in software application development preferred.
Experience with an Agile environment is required
Hands on experience managing all stages of the development life cycle
Experience in Microsoft, Cloud, and Office 365 is preferred.
Communications -
Must be an exceptional communicator, with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
Must be able to cater communication to both a technical and business level.
Educational requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineer, a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience.
Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).
