We are seeking an experienced Service Process Improvement Engineer to work out either at our Exton, PA or Lake Mary, FL office location. This role will be analyzing business methods, finding efficiencies across Customer Service organization and implement strategies for improvement. This position will be responsible for delivering regular recommendations on how to maintain staff levels and lower costs, while maintaining quality standards. A successful individual will be able to communicate as appropriate to both staff and management to ensure a collaborative work environment throughout process changes. Relocation is available for the right candidate.

BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred
Six Sigma/LEAN certifications
Experience in interfacing with offsite locations
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and optical systems and equipment
Familiar with the Following:
SOAP/REST with associated knowledge in XML, WSDL and XSD.
Design patterns for SOA, Messaging and EAI
Exposure to multiple, diverse technical integration, technologies and processing environments.
Integration message protocols and legacy integration technologies
Conducting prototypes, data and function mapping, and setting relevant configuration and control
How you will make a difference @ FARO:
Responsible for improving the efficiency of the Customer Service operation by using mathematical methods to redesign Service process and information technology systems.
Identify process bottlenecks and constraints and provides solutions for eliminating those obstacles.
Research, evaluate, and recommend equipment and/or software technologies to drive process automation and cost improvement.
Coordinate and facilitate 5S and Lean Manufacturing projects as needed.
Coordinate bi-annual plant Kaizen Events.
Conduct PowerPoint presentations of project proposals and results to management.
Participate in other assigned engineering tasks such as reviewing and updating checklist and diagnostic protocols.
Due to the confidential nature of the work, all essential functions must be performed on FARO premises.
Other duties may include, but are not limited to:
Perform or assist with any departmental operations, as required or directed, to maintain workflow, operate within safe material handling limits to protect parts from damage and meet production schedules and requirements.
Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules.
Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policies.
Act as administrative team leader as elected and/or assigned.
Communicate general business, quality, performance and productivity issues to team members, monitor and report on team performance against plan and prepare and post team performance reports.
Document maintain and forward team attendance records.
Recommend revisions to control documentation such as production checklists, operating procedures and policy manuals.
Make and distribute authorized modifications as directed.
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
