Position Summary:
As part of a strategic decision to expand delivery services beyond our existing ERP environments and teams, a new agile delivery team is being created to deliver cloud-native solutions to various McKesson business units. The key positions in this organization will be responsible for building end-to-end solutions which enables McKesson IT Business Solutions Transformations department. Key target stakeholders are U.S. Pharma Generics business units. As a guideline, our software engineers will primarily deliver cloud-based solutions, following 12 factor principles and other best practices. Solutions will include new solutions as well as enhancements to existing solutions. Target frameworks will include portals, web services, micro-services (agnostic development), data-centric services and much more.

Position Description:
The Lead IT Architect fulfilling this position will be responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions using a broad range of skills and technologies: designing and developing full-stack solutions (i.e. web and backend software development); selecting and provisioning Azure/GCP cloud services; securing applications and their platforms; automating unit, integration, QA, and performance tests; reviewing code for quality and standards; installing and configuring CI/CD tooling; and supporting applications post go-live.

This position will follow agile methods: meeting with the business users of the product weekly or bi-weekly to gather requirements and perform demos; regularly reviewing practices in retrospectives to continually improve practices; developing and deploying software incrementally; ensuring quality is built into all phases of software development. Willing to deep dive into support tickets and perform root cause analysis and reverse engineer legacy applications.

Key Responsibilities:
Candidate must be flexible and results oriented and be able to quickly learn new technologies and must be able to read existing code and learn systems with minimal documentation.
Understand .Net Framework and re-engineer application to cloud native technology stack.
Responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions using a broad range of skills and technologies: designing and developing full-stack solutions (i.e. web and back-end software development); securing applications and their platforms; automating unit, integration, QA, and performance tests; reviewing code for quality and standards; installing and configuring CI/CD tooling; supporting applications post go-live.

Candidate has proven expertise in full-stack development (Web UX/UI, REST APIs Back-end, DB modeling, CI/CD and Deploy automation)
Comfortable working with other performance engineers to enhance the Performance-as-a-Service platform while innovating ways to improve usability, reliability, modularity, security and analytics in the platform.

Minimum Requirements:
Typically requires 8+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills:
8+ Years of industry experience
Full stack development experience (Web UX/UI, REST APIs Backend, DB modeling, CI/CD and Deploy automation).
Programming skills with Python, Java, Typescript, HTML/CSS, SQL (Postgres).
Proven capability of architecting/understanding complex software solutions.
Ability to design and develop high reliability, fault tolerant solutions.
Comfortable with Test Driven Development and Unit Testing.
Familiarity with Agile development practices and SDLC stack.
Experience with deployment and monitoring tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Knowledge & Skills:
Previous DevOps experience, a plus.
Knowledge on Vue.js,, Docker, Concourse, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and .Net.

Education:
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
