As an Application Security (App Sec) Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in providing the best possible application security services for our customers. This includes understanding customer needs, demonstrating how Denim Group can help, and helping the customers achieve their objectives. You will work closely with our sales and application security teams.

Ideal candidates have strong customer facing skills, a consultative approach, a natural ownership of the complete technical life-cycle from sales through adoption and customer success, and a strong desire to win against the competition. The right candidate reacts and adjusts quickly to changing conditions and comes up with practical ideas and solutions for dealing with obstacles.

Essential Responsibilities:
Deliver the Denim Group App Sec message and vision including technical presentations, thought leadership, and competitive differences to prospective customers and partners
Conduct remote calls and face-to-face meetings to discuss prospective business and technical fit with our services
Establish relationships as a trusted technical adviser with prospects, customers, and partners
Provide technical guidance and support of sales efforts to drive team-based selling with aligned sales representatives
Support pre and post sales issues including but not limited to:
Validate and support agreed upon proof of concept with prospect
Provide written & oral consultation on application security
Recommend best practices for different customer situations
Maintain contact with customers and help them achieve a successful outcome
Collaborate with Sales, Offering Management, and Customer Success to ensure the services fulfill customer requirements
Provide feedback to Offering Management on the offering roadmap and competitive intelligence
Support and train partners and customers
Evangelize application security solutions at in-person and online events as well as social media

Experience in technical sales, consulting, or similar roles
Experience in the application security or broader security market
Operate with a customer service mindset at all times
Ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting and dynamic environment
Effective and efficient problem-solving skills with a focus on providing the best possible solution
Excellent communication skills including on-the-fly white-boarding
Passionate team player who strives to serve the customer
Ability to travel several days at a time
