As an Environmental Compliance Engineer you will be joining a team that strives to do the right thing with making sure our products are compliant with various environmental regulations.
Tasks to be performed include:
Assisting with special compliance projects
Learning compliance certifications and regulations such as RoHS3, REACh, WEEE, Prop 65 analyzing regulatory changes and providing a risk assessment of those changes
Reviewing components and interfacing with external suppliers for compliance data and compiling this data into environmental compliance tool, and working directly with Environmental Engineering Senior Leadership.
Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Materials Engineering, or a similar related major
Able to commit to a 10-12 week internship
Experience with process improvement
Project Management skills or working knowledge of Solidworks, or other design tools
A strong interest in environmental requirements for product designs and product validation
Experience with environmental regulations, materials, or other related discipline specifically as it applies to REACh (EC/NO 1907/2006), RoHS3(DIRECTIVE 2011/65/EU, EU 2015/863), WEEE (DIRECTIVE 2012/19/EU), and the Packaging Directive (DIRECTIVE 94/62/EU)
