We're looking for a Test Infrastructure Engineer.
All work must be conducted within the U.S.
As a contractor to the federal government, all hires may be required to complete additional background screenings at the time of hire or any time thereafter as requested.
What You'll Do
Improve automation of testing over time for scalability, such as turning manual tests into automated ones.
Understand a range of types of testing (unit, functional, integration, manual, visual regression, etc.) and how to combine them to provide comprehensive test coverage.
Build and document testing infrastructure for developers to test their software, and ensures this infrastructure is integrated with any continuous integration (CI).
Consult with engineers to ensure automated tests are rigorous and performant to meet requirements.
May document and perform exploratory and manual testing where automated testing isn't yet available or feasible.
Monitor and report on the release process, ensuring appropriate versioning and release notes are in place.
Provide training on test automation, quality, and release processes to engineering teams.
Develop and maintains an understanding of product, business, and technical requirements in relation to application development.
Collaborate with product and other engineers to ensure deliverables satisfy requirements. This may include feature validation plans, guidance on testing scope, and identification of testing gaps.
Assist with capacity planning and load testing - including gathering appropriate test data and developing test scenarios.
Manage test data and environments, and ensures the proper testing occurs within each environment.
Develop and utilizes additional error reporting, monitoring, and testing systems to improve product quality and development velocity.
