Golder has a new opportunity for a Staff Geohazards Engineer to join our team in a full time, position at our Denver, Colorado office. You will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals supporting a variety of civil, oil and gas, and water resource projects.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
Oversee surface and subsurface site investigations and collect samples
Install and monitor geotechnical instrumentation
Develop geotechnical recommendations
Reduce and process complex data
Work closely with clients on-site to assist with risk evaluations
Develop construction designs and bid packages

Bachelor of Science in Civil, Geological, or Mining Engineering with an emphasis on geotechnical engineering or a related engineering field
Two years of relevant experience
Ability to climb and descend steep and unstable slopes comfortably and safely
Ability to perform field tasks, operate and maintain field testing and monitoring equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for out-of-town projects, including periods of more than one month
Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and within groups

Master of Science in Civil, Geological, or Mining Engineering with an emphasis on geotechnical engineering or a related engineering field
Consulting experience
Geophysics experience
Specialized computer skills including database applications, AutoCAD, GIS, gINT, stability modeling (SLIDE, SLOPE/W, CRSP, ROCFALL)
Familiarity with 3D modeling, photogrammetry, and LIDAR
