The Electrical Engineer reports to the Chief Maintenance Engineer in the Technical Services Department.

What you will do:
The Mine Electrical Engineer is accountable for providing technical expertise for various projects underground, as it pertains to electrical and instrumentation requirements including: design, drafting, cost analysis, etc
Work with the Maintenance and Production Departments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of maintenance activities. Ensure solutions are based on sound engineering practices and most economical design
Review engineering specifications/drawings and propose design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements.

What you will bring:
Degree in Electrical Engineering
1-2 years experience preferably in the mining industry
Experience, knowledge and understanding of safe work practices.
Ability to prioritize, make sound decisions, and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
Effective troubleshooting skills - analytical, critical thinking and problem solving.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various departments and individuals (internal and external)
