Purpose of the Position
The ideal candidate will assist in the design and analysis of new site and facility systems and/or modifications to existing site/facility systems, including the development of heat load analysis models, flow models, and other systems including, but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, industrial water, sewer, and refrigeration.
Specific Job Duties
Provide cooling and heating load calculations as well as air and water distribution system pressure drop calculations.
Experience designing complete building HVAC systems including but not limited to: chillers, boilers, AHUs, DX Systems, and data center cooling for office and industrial environments.
Experience in the design of process piping, gas and liquids.
Knowledge of NFPA1B Fire Protection Principle.
Knowledge of modeling and analysis of thermal/fluid systems and components.
Knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1, 62&55 International building Code and have a LEED BC&D certification is recommended.
Review vendor and subcontractor submittals making final selections for HVAC equipment.
Lead other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth and provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analysis.
Perform heating, cooling and ventilation load analysis and ensure compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations. Familiarity with Trane Trace or Carrier HAP load estimating software a plus.
Conduct surveys, studies and site investigations as necessary.
Help determine budget estimates and requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
May assist with other administrative and technical duties.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Education and Experience Requirements
BS in Mechanical engineering required
8-10 years of experience in Heavy industrial systems mechanical design (Experience may include HVAC, Piping, Plumbing, ventilation systems).
EIT required, PE preferred

Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire).
Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.
Must have, and maintain, a valid driver’s license.
