As an Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Environmental Engineer, you’ll have a chance to help restore environmentally impaired sites for state, federal and commercial clients across the Pacific. Working with other members of the team, you’ll support projects aimed at site characterization, environmental monitoring, and waste management, for a variety of government and private-sector clients. During your time with us, you will support the current project managers in preparing for field activities, fulfilling the role as field team leader, and assist in writing reports. You’ll perform analysis of data from sampling, reports, maps, drawings, or other sources to support site characterization efforts including well installations, groundwater sampling, soil vapor intrusion sampling, and waste management. You will complete technical writing with peer review and present data and evaluations in a clear and concise manner as well as contribute to the development of regulatory reporting technical documents (work plans, environmental investigation reports, and remedial designs). BS in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science, or a closely related field.
At least 5 years of environmental consulting experience in Hawaii.
Experience with implementing and conducting environmental investigations and or remediation, including, but not limited to performing well installations and soil vapor intrusion sampling.
Familiarity with Hawaii state and federal regulations.
Knowledge of CERCLA regulatory processes.
HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain and maintain.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
MS in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science or a closely related field.
Currently has or is highly motivated to obtain Professional certification (PE, PG, PMP).
Current residence in Hawaii.
Excellent team building skills.
Excellent leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Specific training, knowledge, and experience necessary to develop, review, and implement various work plans and quality assurance project plans including accident prevention plans.
