DISH is a Fortune 250 company with more than $13 billion in annual revenue that continues to redefine the communications industry. Our legacy is innovation and a willingness to challenge the status quo, including reinventing ourselves. We disrupted the pay-TV industry in the mid-90s with the launch of the DISH satellite TV service, taking on some of the largest U.S. corporations in the process, and grew to be the fourth-largest pay-TV provider. We are doing it again with the first live, internet-delivered TV service – Sling TV – that bucks traditional pay-TV norms and gives consumers a truly new way to access and watch television.
Now we have our sights set on upending the wireless industry and unseating the entrenched incumbent carriers.
We are driven by curiosity, pride, adventure, and a desire to win – it’s in our DNA. We’re looking for people with boundless energy, intelligence, and an overwhelming need to achieve to join our team as we embark on the next chapter of our story.
Opportunity is here. We are DISH.
The successful (Test Engineer) will have:
Experience in validation testing of software and/or hardware used in the Satellite, Cable, Consumer Electronic or IPTV industry
Platform/System architecture experience
Advanced understanding of consumer electronics design and manufacturing a plus
Experience applying FMEA, Design of Experiments, 6s, ORT, and Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve the test validation process
Experience in LabView or TestStand a plus
Technical degree from four year college or university or equivalent amount of education and experience.
Experience doing WiFi and/or RF testing is a bonus.
Dish Technologies is adding a Test Engineer in the Global Manufacturing Department that will lead ‘Design for Test’ efforts with Design Engineering to produce a cost effective test strategy for EchoStar products. The Test Engineer will also focus on the Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) partner to: accelerate delivery or time to market (TTM), eliminate test escapes, minimize costs, and monitor systems to ensure quality products are delivered to our customers for the best value possible. The Test Engineer will be expected to identify required hardware to architect a standard platform which all Set Top Boxes (STB) can use and implement it.
