Represents Procurement in the DSM Biomedical Sustainability team and towards corporate Sustainability initiatives and platforms.
Leads initiatives for Procurement in automation, digitization, and process improvement.
Critical in communicating KPI and status reports to the broader organization after alignment with management.
Reports out on progress and status to management.
Escalates exceptions or matters to the direct manager in case desired or required based on the impact from a SHE, quality, technical content, and/or financial/business perspective.
Identifies, drives, and leads improvements in sustainability in Procurement globally for the entire value chain and aligned with the sustainability roadmap of DSM Biomedical and Corporate.
Acts and contributes as an active team member of the Sustainability team.
Together with the Sourcing Leads, identifies opportunities and priorities and drives implementation of improvements in sustainability.
Represents Procurement DSM Biomedical in corporate initiatives on sustainability by e.g. the Procurement Excellence department.
Leads automation, digitization, and process improvement efforts in the area of Procurement globally (e.g. spend reporting, vendor management system, etc.).
Together with the Procurement Manager and Supply Chain Director, identifies needs, opportunities, and priorities for automation, digitization, and process improvements.
Connects with and requests/coordinates support from corporate and DSM Sourcing functions in order to build knowledge and get expertise in the design and implementation of initiatives.
Coordinates periodic reporting for the global Procurement function.
Gathers data from Purchasing and Sourcing to be used in reporting.
Coordinates and ensures timely reporting of KPIs as defined in the unit’s Annual Purchasing Plan.
Contributes to the definition of the unit’s Annual Procurement Plan and continuous improvement in the global Procurement area through supplier, market, and spend research and analyses.
Creates and maintains adequate spend reporting, including classification and categorization of spend items to allow efficient steering of the supplier base and spend.
Monitors market dynamics and reports risks and opportunities within the Sourcing team.
Upon request, supports the Procurement team with administration and coordination of operational processes such as contracting and performance evaluation.
Coordinates and maintains an overview of agreements that are in progress or planned to be negotiated and defined.
Aligns with the Contract Manager for routing and approval of agreements to be executed.
Supports the team in populating contract templates for certain sourcing initiatives or supplier negotiations.
Coordinates and maintains an overview of supplier performance evaluations as should be executed periodically conform regulatory and internal requirements.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Commerce/Procurement, Business Administration, and/or Supply Chain Management.
Proven affinity and track record in data management, automation/digitization and project management skills.
Recognized qualification in Purchasing along with people, project and change management experience.
Seven or more experience in Purchasing and related roles in various business-to-business environments, ideally including the Medical Device industry.
Demonstrated experience with automation, digitization, and/or ERP implementation.
SAP knowledge and skills in the area of Purchase-to-Pay.
Knowledge of systems and applications such as SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Ariba, PowerBI, or Tableau is considered a plus
