The Program Manager is responsible for the oversight and coordination of collections of interrelated projects as an advocate of the business and both internal and external customer.
Engages and collaborates with stakeholders, including peers, leaders, and cross-functional representatives across the enterprise in the pursuit of a shared objective. May participate or have a voice in program strategy discussions with leaders across the enterprise as a representative of Operations. Removes ambiguity, ensures sufficient awareness, and resolves confusion through disciplined coordination, documentation, and communication. Identifies risks and issues, raising and escalating in a timely fashion to enable the organization to overcome roadblocks and to work cooperatively to a successful outcome. Meets regularly with stakeholders to share knowledge and surface gaps and potential roadblocks. Works diligently to resolve disparity across teams; leverages support of business leads when advantageous to the outcome.
Role will be responsible for all aspects of designated projects or programs, including control of scope, schedule, and commitments on behalf of the impacted business and Operations teams. Scrutinize and speak to development requirements from both an operational and technical perspective. Maintains professional and technical knowledge through formal and information educational opportunities, professional publications, and personal networks.
Ensures all stakeholders and pertinent leaders are reliably and appropriately informed of project or program status, issues, risks and meeting outcomes.
Collate and synthesize project information into a meaningful view of project and program health and progress.
Ensure that all stakeholders understand their role, responsibility and depth of attention required at both the project and program level.
Seeks out and engages representatives from critical teams at the right time, providing the necessary context to gain buy-in and instill necessary sense of urgency. Includes project managers, release train engineers, and Product owners among others.
Reinforce the use of appropriate and common communication tools and document repositories to maintain cohesion across the program. Assist in the development of tracking tools necessary to meet the changing needs of the programs.
Deliver presentations to internal customers, executive management and other program stakeholders
Create, socialize, and maintain project artifacts including scope definitions, diagrams (workflow, dataflow, architectural)
Participation and documentation of the discussions and negotiation of requirements, commitments, milestones, timelines and key terms and conditions. Communicate the outcomes of those sessions; identify and escalate risks that surfaced independently or by other stakeholders.

Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience developing program management plans to include scope, risk, stakeholder and communication management, plus knowledge and experience producing robust progress reporting for stakeholders and senior leaders OR an equivalent combination of education work-related experience.
Experience in complex, matrixed organizations working with a wide breadth of stakeholders and high-performing teams
Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods
Ability to create and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the enterprise
Expertise negotiating and advocating on behalf of the client and stakeholders as well as managing conflict
Demonstrated experience facilitating productive meetings as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience developing workflow and dataflow diagrams in Visio or other software application
PgMP certification, or PMP with demonstrated program management experience
