Metron’s Operations Analysis and Simulation Sciences (OASiS) division is seeking a talented and enthusiastic senior software engineer with leadership experience to design, develop, integrate, manage, test, and deploy software related to unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) and mission planning systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid to senior-level software engineer looking to advance their career to lead a team of developers, test engineers, and marine technicians, and to interact directly with senior Government project and program managers.

The OASiS Division works closely with the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of the Navy (DoN), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Commander, Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT), Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), and many other government agencies in pursuit of our mission.
BS or MS in Computer science, Engineering, or related field
7+ years of relevant development experience required, with some experience leading development teams
Ability to work in a team environment composed of software developers, hardware engineers, analysts, marine technicians, and Government decision makers
Proven track record of managing complex software development efforts
Able to interpret requirements, develop architectural approaches and designs, build and monitor project execution schedules
Java knowledge required, C++ knowledge a plus
Linux background and networking experience highly preferred;
Experience integrating hardware with software is a plus
Experience with circuit design and testing is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, required.
Ability to interface directly with Metron and Government leadership, required.
Some travel required (less than 10%)
Current DoD Secret security clearance required
