Yates Industries, A manufacturer of world-class hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders has a full-time Customer Service position available at our St Clair Shores, MI. facility.
Summary of position: Responsible for all aspects of customer service to provide incomparable customer satisfaction. This includes time efficient data, quote and order entry, effectively responding to requests from customers and distributors, and assisting regional account managers with sales functions as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
PERFORMANCE AND ORGANIZATION:
Answers and effectively responds to customer’s incoming calls, emails, and fax communications.
Enters quotes for cylinders and accessories in EOS configurator and Made2Manage system and sends to customers.
Enters orders for cylinders and accessories in EOS configurator and Made2Manage system and sends to customers.
Configures sales drawings in EOS Configurator and with collaboration from engineering and send to customer.
Crossover cylinder part numbers and analyzes draft drawings for NFPA cylinders transferrable to Yates products.
Contacts customers for quote and/or order follow up as needed.
Completes Sales Order Checklist on own orders and those of team mates.
Assists with maintenance and information input for Sugar CRM System.
Assists with new employee training.
Assists the Accounting Department with account set-up and credit account functions.
Measures up and reverses engineer non-Yates Industries cylinders sent in by customers.
Effectively communicates with Inside Sales Manager daily on workload, performance and tasks, and participates in team meetings
Collaborates with engineering, Regional Account Managers, and Inside and National Sales Manager on quotes, orders, and special projects as determined and directed.
1. Must have intimate understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders manufactured at each Yates facility, and the technical requirements to meet customer’s needs.
1. Focuses on driving and improving sales through personal customer contact via phones, thank you cards, promotional gifts, and literature.
2. Obtains and documents critical information as well as key stakeholders that will result in qualified leads and/or account follow up with outside Regional Account Managers or National Sales Manager when responding to inquiries from customers with whom we do not have accounts.
1. Enters purchase orders in order to meet Inside Sales Team daily order entry sales goal.
