Inventing solutions where none exist! As part of the engineering team, the role of the Mechanical Engineer I is to develop new technology for drug discovery that will directly impact patient’s lives. GNF is undertaking innovative and challenging research efforts and we need your help to enable amazing science which will discover new medicines for patients. The GNF engineering team is an essential contributor and partner to the science, driving innovation to address some of society's most challenging healthcare issues. Our scientists increasingly recognize the impact engineering can have on research programs and are eager for you to put your stamp on it.
We are looking for someone who loves to design. Someone who can think on their feet and take projects from start to finish. Projects vary from hand held devices to room sized robotic automation. If you are a creative individual who is excited to apply engineering principles that lead to new disease cures and treatments, then this position is for you.
Your key responsibilities:
- Innovate with a self-starter attitude to develop ground breaking solutions to new problems as we advance the technology our scientists use daily
- Collaborate closely with scientists, other engineering and manufacturing disciplines to innovate novel research solutions through rapid prototyping techniques.
- Partner with team to design, optimize, and maintain life cycle of production products.

What you'll bring to the role:
Desirable Expertise In:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Entry-level (0-2 years’ experience)
- Strong aptitude for mechanical design
- Well rounded engineering understanding for complex system design and development
- Must be a team player through and through as all projects are team based
- An agile mind, with the ability to learn quickly, and analytical problem solving ability
- CAD experience is helpful
