Description

ConocoPhillips Alaska is currently looking for a Coiled Tubing Drilling Supervisor reporting to the Alaska Coiled Tubing Drilling Director. This position will be responsible for providing onsite supervision of drilling and completion operations on development wells for ConocoPhillips within the state of Alaska. This position will safely and efficiently manage rig site operations and personnel to deliver the business objectives. This position will also act as the ConocoPhillips safety leader for the wellsite location and operations.

Responsibilities May Include:
Lead all operations in a manner that ensures the health and safety of all personnel and the protection of the environment.
Act as the safety leader for the wellsite and define the HSE tone and expectations for the location to ensure onsite participation and implementation of all safety policies and programs.
Ensure operations comply with all statutory, policy and program requirements. Ensure all regulatory approvals are in place prior to any operation.
Maintain proper well control certification and be capable of leading well control situations.
Lead rig site operations to deliver program objectives.
Identify/assess HSE and operational risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate same.
Maintain timely communications with Drilling Engineer and CTD Director to continuously improve well planning and execution.
Investigate, follow up and close out all incidents relating to rig site personnel, equipment and procedures.
Monitor, evaluate and regularly report on overall performance against program, and performance of the services and equipment involved in the operation.
Ensure all daily Wellview reports are submitted on time and information is complete and accurate.
Coordinate, supervise, and critique service company activities.
Review and recommend optimization of drilling program/procedures.
Assist in preparation of drilling documentation/manuals.
Participation in emergency preparedness and permitting activities.
Work with Supply Chain Management (Material and Logistics) group as required.
Provide office based operational support as required.
Serve as mentor to less experienced Drilling Supervisors.
Qualifications

Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis
5+ years of Coiled Tubing Drilling experience
5+ years experience in supervising multi-disciplined rig teams
Proven HSE leadership and communication skills
Proficient in all aspects of drilling, completion and intervention techniques
Good computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience in cold weather or arctic environments
Intermediate level experience with MPD (Managed Pressure Drilling)
Willing and able to work a rotating shift (14 days on/14 days off)

Preferred:
3+ years of rig workover experience
Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
Listens actively and invites dialogue for shared understanding, then influences and acts to drive performance and achieve results
Builds strong relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals
