The Creative Team Lead is responsible for directing and providing quality concept and design work for direct response materials and digital assets, B2C collateral, B2B sales enablement materials, high performing campaigns, corporate initiative creative, CEO special requests, web, Intranet, production and video, multimedia displays, advertising, photography, and corporate brand identity for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas and its subsidiaries. Responsible for maintaining brand standards while creating innovative and customer-centric marketing for both print and digital media which assist the company in achieving its overall goals. This role manages the Brand Creative Team, provides creative direction to partners such as: producers, production artists, agencies of record, designers, photographers, web consultants, contractors, interns, design firms and printers. Through creative design, this person will elevate our brand and position Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas as the most trusted health insurer in Kansas. This position may need to travel to provide creative direction for production, usability studies, photography, and professional training, occasionally staying away overnight and starting and finishing outside of normal working hours. This position supports the Marketing + Customer Experience division, plus all corporate needs to elevate the brand and position Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas to lower administration costs, increase market share; reduce medical payout and provide better customer service.

Manages and provided creative direction to the team to produce direct response materials, digital assets, video and traditional print for employees, consumers and members.
Lead generation and fulfillment materials (direct mail) for Business-to-business (B2B) and Business-to-consumer (B2C) direct enrolled prospects over and under age 65.
Concept and design support for Customer Experience (CX), Corp Comm, Content & Technology, Product Marketing, Research and Insights and Ecomm team.
Creative direction and management of story boards and campaign development.
Shooting and or creative direction for TV, video, radio, photography.
Logo creation for products, corporate initiatives, services, subsidiaries, and all other marketing needs.
Share in the responsibility for establishing protocols to keep design fresh and current all Web sites.
Will assist in developing and enforcing Internet guidelines and procedures as well as the correct usage of corporate trademarks for the design and development for all corporate Web sites, mobile app, and associated applications.
Monitor branding standards of corporate logo usage.
Become knowledgeable of, and follow, HCFA, ADA and Kansas Insurance Department guidelines regarding advertising and product promotion.
Maps-create and design for marketing, provider relations, marketing system, subscriber services as well as other divisions and subsidiaries as needed.
This position will share responsibilities with other graphics/multimedia designers as a member of the corporate Web team and work closely with the Web administrator, Web writer, e-commerce manager, designated business experts, IS application system developers, security personnel and project managers to implement Internet and Intranet designs and strategies.
BA or BFA in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Computer Graphics, Multimedia or related degree with 7-10 years of design experience in agency or marketing department.
Management experience that inspires the Brand Creative Team to perform at a highly efficient level.
Design experience with direct response marketing (TV, direct mail, billboards, digital), digital asset development (websites, animation, interactive display ads, emails, social media), production and video, plus, traditional print media.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of design concepts, style and layout techniques, as well as printing technology, including Pantone and 4-color processes.
Preference experience with CSS and HTML.
Development, creative direction and design of robust marketing campaigns with an understanding of performance results required.
Must have an online portfolio to demonstrate design ability and successful execution of a campaign.
Electronic prepress/desktop publishing experience with up-to-date layout, design and development software packages such as and not limited to: (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, After Effects, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
Working knowledge of the project management tool Workfront and its digital asset management (DAM) a plus.
Knowledge of Google Analytics and digital experience platforms (DXP) such as Acquia a plus.
A broad understanding of Macintosh/Windows hardware and current operating systems.
Illustration, animation, and freehand drawing; typography; photography; knowledge of Pantone matching system as well as four color process; printing knowledge.
Preference experience with digital experience platforms (DXP/web), such as Acquia, and HTML.
Should have strong organizational and planning skills and excellent attention to details.
$83,809 - $104,636
Salary will be determined in range based on experience.
