Jump-start your career as a Professional Engineer! Build upon your academic skills and the learning you’ve experienced at Canadian Natural in our Engineer-in-Training (EIT) program. Gain hands-on experience and take on new challenges, while completing a variety of technical, business and other developmental courses.
The EIT Program is a structured developmental program designed to give you maximum exposure to different areas at Canadian Natural through rotational options and a mentorship program with senior engineers. The EIT Program consists of at least two major roles over the course of the program. The program includes a Field Assignment generally lasting no less than 2 years that builds your experience in both Operations and Field Engineering, as well as a role in the office that will develop your technical engineering skills.
Opportunities exist throughout Canadian Natural’s diverse asset base. Positions are usually available in our Conventional Operations areas (focusing on Production or Exploitation Engineering), Thermal (Production, Exploitation, Facilities and/or Projects Engineering), Development Operations (Drilling, Completions, Facilities and/or Integrity Engineering) and Oil Sands (Mining or Operations).
We are looking for multiple engineering disciplines with a current focus on Electrical, Geotechnical and Civil/Structural engineering.

Skills & Qualifications:
Graduation from a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in December 2019 or May 2020. A recent Masters graduate will also be accepted.
Registration or eligibility for registration with APEGA as a Member In Training immediately upon graduation
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a reasonably clean Driver’s Abstract
Familiarity with and understanding of working in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Oil & Gas experience is an asset, previous engineering work experience as a student is preferred
