The successful candidate will be accountable for the quality performance for a refrigerator assembly line at the Amana Facility. This Value stream includes assembly lines supporting the Multi-door Bottom Mount, 2 Door and Built-in Refrigerator platforms and 7 Brands. Also, support Quality Holds Management.
The successful candidate will be accountable to develop Kaizens, QA Matrix as part of the WCM (World Class Manufacturing) Methodology to improve the Quality KPI’s of the responsible area. And create strategies to reduce the Quality Holds Inventory.
Quality Holds Management and continuous improvement activities.
Develop, coordinate and maintain the Quality KPI’s for the assigned production area to ensure zero quality claims for the customer and the next process on the supply chain.
Coordinate containment, Process and Product Audits, Actions Plans, Quick Kaizen, A3, 8D and Major Kaizen to ensure zero quality claims for the customer and the next process on the supply chain
Lead and Manage multiple projects related to improvement using Kaizen tool.
Provide engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques and encourage the use of WCM techniques to solve problems.
Determine when process stability and capability studies should be performed on existing processes. Review and analyze the results. Recommend changes to processes based upon findings and perform follow up to verify effectiveness.
Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and approved it.
Participate in the development of Control Plans and approved it.
1+ years of quality or manufacturing experience (including internship)
MS in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Related Engineering
Strong Project Management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Communication skills (Ability to work at all levels from Plant Leadership to Machine Operator)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and team-building skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
Hands-on experience working in a heavily automated production environment is desired.
