Hypergiant’s Research and Development department is seeking an Applied Research Engineer with the following skills:
Creative thinker with the ability to identify problems, including how a problem may intersect with other disciplines, understand the intended results, and find solutions to reduce risk and complexity of task.
Strong ability to ideate, drive innovation and push the boundaries of new and existing technology
Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, engineering drawing review, etc.)
Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
Candidate must be able to work with general direction and must be able to communicate effectively
Self-motivated and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications
Fluent in multiple scripting languages and coding standards - Python, C, C#, JavaScript, MySQL, Go, etc.
Familiarity with circuitry and electronic components. Ability to read and understand schematics
Solid understanding of machine learning and knowledge of frameworks such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, Caffe, Keras
Experience with CAD design software and 3d modeling
Experience with at least one modern game engine, such as Unity, Unreal, etc.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Aeronautics, infrastructure, defense, space systems, or bio-engineering
Programming experience with Python, C/C++, JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, swift or other modern development language
Experience with machine learning, computer vision, neural networks, and other aspects of the AI pipeline
