As a Director of Predictive Analytics, you will be expected to be a hands-on developer as well a leader and mentor in the department. The department is responsible for the development of statistical models that drive many of the company’s processes (such as origination, servicing, and finance). Examples of models include (but are not limited to) credit risk scorecard, behavior scorecards, collections models, statistical forecasts, resource allocation, etc.

Outcomes and Activities:
This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to an office location may be required. However, this position is permitted to work at an office location if requested by the team member.
Develop, test and implement statistical models and data infrastructure
Actively monitor the performance of models in production
Analyze data to drive better business decisions
Develop complex programming to extract and manipulate data

Requirements:
Excellent professional and academic credentials
Bachelors’ degree or higher
7+ years experience developing predictive models, including originations and behavior models
5+ years’ experience using programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, MATLAB, etc.
Expert knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to confidently interact with senior business leaders

Preferred:
Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, etc.
Advanced SAS programming certification
Experience in the consumer lending industry, with some preference given to automobile finance experience
Experience leading direct reports
Recent consulting or small company experience

Targeted Compensation: $160,000 - $215,000 base salary + an annual bonus plan

This position is not currently open to individuals who require sponsorship now or in the future to work legally for Credit Acceptance, such as H-1b / H-4 or F-1 OPT visa holders.
