Position: Business Intelligence Developer

Location: Sioux Falls, SD; Aberdeen, SD; or Remote

Position Summary

The BI Developer is responsible for the analysis, design, construction, deployment, and end-user education of dashboard and reporting architecture.

This position will be a steward of data accuracy and accessibility, act as intermediary between stakeholders and core business systems, embody report design expertise, and champion adoption within Agtegra while routinely solving complex business reporting requirements with high performance output.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Map, model, and have expert understanding of data relationships for information utilization to support business functionality
Engages business stakeholders to clearly identify and construct complex reports, dashboards, and apps to satisfy their key requirements
Display strong business acumen and inquisitiveness, rapidly mastering their data and processes to be a better partner
Assist with establishing policies and procedures pertaining to data management, standards, security, maintenance, and utilization
Be a driver within the BI team to push skills, capabilities and performance growth
Developing and maintaining efficient data models
Continually identify better methods to improve data and report reliability, efficiency, and quality; build checks and auditing solutions to ensure confidence of data movement and transformation solution

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science or equivalent work experience.
Demonstrated Business Intelligence experience with business acumen to deliver complex business enabling reports and dashboard visualizations
Expertise constructing reports with at least one leading BI data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView
Employed experience with advanced data modeling techniques
Strong experience with Microsoft business intelligence stack (Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, or SSAS)
Expert level SQL and database structure understanding
Advanced ETL and scripting experience
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all employee groups.

Experience Desired

Microsoft Azure (SQL, ADF, AS)
Intermediate to advanced DAX skills
Microsoft Power BI
Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
Ag-Retail industry experience
