Job Description

CACI International Inc. is seeking an experienced and innovative thinking Senior Systems Engineer to support their Engineering Services Group supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in King George, VA!

What You’ll Get to Do:
Conduct detailed, complex systems engineering activities associated with surface Navy combat systems, elements and components.
Assist in the development of system and capability requirements definitions and plans.
Assist with strategic planning and technology road maps supporting Future Naval Capabilities (FNC) projects/efforts.
Participate in and Lead Risk Management (RM) and Integrated Project Teams (IPT).
Participate in Engineering Cross Program Teams focused on collaborative initiatives, program commonalities, process improvements, and cost/time saving initiatives.
Conduct engineering design trade studies and develop papers, and presentations to support acquisition program milestone decisions and reviews.

More About the Role:
This critically important, part-time on call position, will support the development, fielding and sustainment of Navy surface ship combat and warfare systems, and associated elements. The position is intended to provide strategic insight and advice to our government customers, and CACI line leadership, in the development of new and emerging technologies, as well as strategic planning and future growth across the engineering discipline.
The successful candidate will be expected to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who can lead diverse, cross technical and project teams in the development, planning and execution of Navy and CACI engineering initiatives and opportunity development.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics or physical science.
Twelve (12) years engineering experience with development, fielding or sustainment of Navy surface ship combat systems or elements of a surface ship combat system.
At least ten (10) years of progressive leadership and technical management experience leading large technically diverse teams supporting major surface Navy programs with a focus on warfare analysis, Integrated Fire Control, Radar and Sensor Integration, and Interoperability.
