What You’ll Do:
Drive the design, development, and implementation of packaging systems for new and existing products
Create and maintain packaging specifications and drawings
Represent the packaging function on cross-functional Healthmark teams to deliver new product to market
Execute packaging development activities in alignment with the elements of Design Control
Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of packaging issues
Develop and initiate testing plans and shipping validation activities to evaluate package integrity and performance
Coordinate and approve final packaging (primary, secondary, tertiary) from suppliers while ensuring quality approval
Maintain packaging information in ERP system
Document packaging protocols and ensure compliance to all FDA and ISO regulations
Participate in various standards organization relevant to packaging
Support the growth and development of the packaging function in the areas of innovation, design, processes developments, sustainability, manufacturing, etc.
Other duties as assigned to support day to day operations
About You:
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
1-3 years of experience in package development (internships or college projects considered)
Working knowledge of ISTA/ASTM testing methods
Previous experience with package design/pallet layout software (i.e. TOPS, Cape)
Written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at once
