The Project Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and installation of small to large projects. Client satisfaction throughout the project timeline is essential. The Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager to meet deadlines and communicate to the customer effectively.

Expected Outcomes

  • Success in the Project Engineer position will be based on your ability to meet or exceed the client’s expectations while ensuring the work is completed accurately and within the defined parameters.
  • Assisting with escalated tickets will be required in this position along with any other service requests needed to ensure customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and follow-through with assigned tasks
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with Project Manager and participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Assist in scoping and developing project plan
  • Attend weekly progress meetings
  • Provide application support by researching, analyzing, and implementing the purchased solution
  • Ensure SLA’s and quality metrics are met
  • Install, configure, and implement purchased software and hardware

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously

  • Ability to successfully train the client on the new solution(s) implemented
  • Problem-solving abilities and ability to meet reasonable deadlines

  • Ability to work with little supervision and manage a team
  • 5+ years of experience providing telephone and remote technical support troubleshooting hardware and software including: PCs, laptops, servers, printers, and LAN/WAN equipment
  • Experience with the Microsoft family of software solutions including Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows Server, as well as the Office Suite
  • Experience with server virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware)
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory domain environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange/Office365 support and configuration
  • Networking experience including Layer 3 routing, firewalls, VPN, NAT are a plus
  • Serve as on-call escalation contact on a monthly rotation
