We're looking for a mobile developer to join our growing ecommerce team. You’ll have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to influence the direction for PepsiCo’s newly-formed mobile development team.
The Role
Partner with Gatorade Sports Science Institute, Commerce Engineering platform, Digital Product, marketing and others to craft compelling features.
Play a key role in creating the mobile development lifecycle and development best-practices for internal and external vendor development teams.
The first item of business is launching the Gatorade GX app ecosystem and will soon expand to building net new apps and features for PepsiCo’s most popular brands.
This role is hands on, working with a small, fast-moving team of mobile engineers. As the product portfolio grows, there will be plenty of opportunities to move into leadership roles.
Compensation and Benefits:
Expected salary range is $75,000 – $180,000
Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 20K

Qualifications/Requirements
You are passionate about creating beautiful, engaging experiences.
You have a track record of shipping consumer facing apps and products.
You have 3+ years of mobile software development experience, with 2+ of those years in React Native (your team will work with React Native, and in some rare cases, Xamarin).
You have experience with or are willing to learn Xamarin, Xamarin forms and the upcoming .NET Maui App UI framework.
Your interviewing game is strong: you are able to assess candidate suitability with minimal false positives through a series of technical and behavioral inquiries.
You have experience launching apps within the Apple and/or Google ecosystems.
Required Skills
React Native (2+ years) with 3+ years of mobile engineering experience
In-depth experience with one or more of the following: ReactJS, Typescript, Javascript.
Experience interfacing with GraphQL and REST interfaces
Experience building and interfacing with NoSQL data stores
Fluency with common mobile development tools (IDEs, dependency managers, version control, etc.)
Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks.
Bonus skills
Experience with embedded systems, firmware, over the air updates is a huge plus.
Experience with CoreBluetooth library is a plus.
Experience with commerce-enabled apps is a plus.
Experience with Xamarin is a major bonus.
Swift/Objective C/Kotlin experience is highly prized.
