IRRAS is actively in the midst of globally launching the IRRAflow®product and numerous supporting accessories. These products are currently all developed by design partners and manufactured at Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs). IRRAS requires an intern interested in medical device who, working under supervision, will work on improvements to new designs associated with electromechanical capital equipment and disposable devices that provide solutions to our customers in neuro critical care.
The intern shall report to engineering management. The intern is expected to be self-motivated and come to work excited and eager to learn, be productive and provide a positive impact on the performance and manufacturability of IRRAS’ products. The ideal candidate will have some understanding in medical grade materials, catheters, 3D modeling, engineering experiments including Design of Experiment (DoE), device (electromechanical) testing, statistical analysis, process development, problem definition, root cause analysis and applying clinical relevance to mechanical and electromechanical designs.
Work well within a group of diverse engineers
Plans and organizes work assignments with minimal supervision
Conduct testing (mechanical, fluidic, software), report results, perform data analysis within abilities
Work in SolidWorks from redlines
Maintains records as per company standards

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Enrolled in degreed Engineering program
Experience: prefer minimum of 3rd year undergraduate (responsibilities can expand based on candidates experience and aptitude)
Hours per week: 15 hrs minimum
Experience from relevant internship or related coursework
MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
