Exciting career opportunity for a Scientific Applications Programmer Analyst I to support the Technical Services for the National for the National Weather Service (NWS) National Data Bouy Center (NDBC) located at the National Aeronautics and Space Center (NASA) Stennis Space Center (SSC) in Kiln, MS.
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Mathematics
CompTIA Security+ Certification [or equivalent].
2+ years experience in converting scientific, engineering, and other technical problem formulations to formats that can be processed by computer
2+ years experience resolving symbolic formulations, preparing flowcharts and block diagrams, and encoding resultant equations for processing by applying extensive knowledge of branch of science, engineering, or advanced mathematics, such as differential equations or numerical analysis, and understanding of capabilities and limitations of computer.
2+ years experience in commonly-used software development concepts, practices, and procedures.
