Currently, HGL is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer in the Atlanta area to support HGL's growing business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for office and field tasks for environmental remediation and/or construction projects, including work plan and report preparation, data evaluation and interpretation, and remedial design development. Specific responsibilities will include:
Working with and/or leading teams of engineers, geologists, CAD specialists and other technical staff in the development of studies and strategies for remediation of contaminated media;
Developing engineering studies, plans, designs and specifications for the remediation of environmental contamination;
Developing cost estimates and construction workplans for remedial construction;
Providing engineering support during the construction/implementation of engineering designs to ensure successful execution of field work;
Reviewing technical documents and providing feedback and recommendations;
Travel will be required.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
Project management and leadership skills are a plus.
Atleast ten or more years of directly related experience in the environmental industry.
Must have experience in environmental remediation, authoring technical reports, preparing remedial designs, and reviewing and interpreting environmental data.
Experience with the following is highly desirable:
RCRA, CERCLA, EPA, DoD, DoE, or NASA projects;
Remediation system design support, implementation, and operation;
Project management under EPA, DoD, DoE, or NASA contracts;
Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
Master's degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
Professional engineer registration in one or more states.
Professional engineer registration in one or more states in the Southeastern US.
40-hour HAZWOPER training
A pre-hire drug test and fit-for-duty baseline physical is required.
Some positions require US citizenship.
Must be able to pass DoD installation background checks.
