We are growing and need to add a Computer/Electrical/Electronics Engineer to our team. This member will assist with designing new circuit boards, developing new designs, coding microcontrollers and linux embedded systems, and refining our algorithms. We are looking for someone passionate about circuit board design, tinkering with small electronics, data-oriented coding, microcontrollers/embedded systems, and exploring new ideas and concepts. Computer/Electrical Engineer Duties and Responsibilities
- Design schematics and circuit board layouts for new and revised components
- Source suitable replacements for components or find better alternatives for current devices
- Assist in code and system design to develop new product designs
- Participate in code and design reviews
Requirements and Qualifications
- BSE in electrical, electronics, or computer engineering or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand datasheets, reference manuals, and schematics
- Knowledge in small circuit communication standards and protocol is a plus
- Advanced understanding of electrical terminology and equipment
- KiCAD layout software knowledge or equivalent
- Linux embedded systems knowledge
- Experience with microcontrollers (Microchip PIC and ATMega/Arduino, ESP32, etc)
- Familiarity with IoT devices and setup is a plus
- Understanding of basic digital sensors (load cells, IR ToF distance sensors, Hall effect sensors, hot-wire anemometers, etc)
- RF, Cellular, WiFi, and Bluetooth knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge in R and/or Python is a plus
