Our Client is actively seeking for a Mechanical Engineer for immediate employment in our Norfolk, VA office.

Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks:
Preparation of deliverables and products such as presentation materials, calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and cost estimates related to heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) and plumbing for commercial, governmental, and institutional facilities
Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
Assist with the mechanical design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for commercial and institutional facilities
Assist with the mechanical design for commercial and institutional facilities
Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software (AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace)
Work under supervision of a project manager or senior level team member
Deliver complete, accurate, and coordinated project design assignments within time and budget parameters while satisfying client contractual obligations
Perform field investigations for incorporation of existing conditions into construction documents
Work within a project team environment and coordinate work with other project disciplines
Maintain and organize all project-related documentation
Plan and organize work that follows a defined process
Work independently and make technical decisions based on building code interpretation as well as company, client, and industry standard practices
Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from a 4 year ABET accredited college or university
0 - 1 year of post-graduation professional mechanical engineering experience
Good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
Position may require minimal travel.
The ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
Candidate must be a US Citizen. Dual citizens are not eligible.
