As a member of the Global Product Technical Support Team, you will provide advanced technical support to first line field service and call center associates for our Chemistry Analyzers. You will also participate in new product development to ensure service perspective is represented in the design, development, product improvement and other changes. Will create, update and maintain literature such as installation instructions, manuals and other training materials.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Respond to technical procedural inquiries and concerns. Provide email support to International field team members. Recommend a course of action for problem resolution.
Trend, analyze and interpret field generated data.
Acts as a liaison between Field Service team and Development as part of task teams.
Provide Technical Support input for tech bulletins, Field actions, CAPA's etc.
As a voice of Global Service, participate on project teams responsible for developing new products as well as product enhancement projects.
Build and maintain all departmental and service support related documents.
Ensure accuracy/traceability of all records to align with GMP, ISO, FDA and company policies regarding compliance.
Collaborate with all partners to utilize continuous improvement models for ongoing process improvement, problem solving and goal achievement.
Take a systems approach to instrument issues evaluating implications of both software and hardware on product performance.
Develop creative and effective support strategies, providing recommendations to and drafting product documentation such as, service manuals and procedures.
The essential requirements of this job include:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or related technical field with 2+ years related diagnostic instrument experience preferably in the medical diagnostic field; or Master's degree in engineering, science or related technical field with 0-2 years’ experience.
Ability to travel as the needed, approximately 25% or less & support a 24/7 on call status as needed
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate information to multi-functional audiences and management.
Understands sophisticated technical and non-technical documentation and optimally communicates with internal and external contacts to ensure a positive outcome.
Prior experience working as a Medical Lab Technologist, Field Service Engineer or Biomedical Engineer would be very useful
It would be a plus if you also possess experience such as:
Proficient digital literacy and experience with relevant software programs (Oracle Business Intelligence Module Skill) & Microsoft Office
Experience operating &/or trouble shooting Chemistry Analyzers
