This exciting opportunity is located in our Troy, Michigan Customer Technology Center.
Responsibilities and duties :
To provide on-site and off-site Product Engineering and Quality support to Volvo GTT projects based in the USA
Frequent visits (typically every 4 wks) to Volvo Mack, Hagerstown site
Build and maintain relationships with key customer contacts
Ensure good communications between Delphi Technologies CV and Customer - inform Delphi of Volvo concerns and ensure Volvo understands Delphi views and concerns.
Maintain an understanding of field issue types, OBD fault codes and the interactions with Fuel Injection Equipment systems and local legislation.
Lead local Product Engineering activity to address critical customer concerns as required
Provide support to Delphi Technologies CV by visiting US suppliers and other customers as required
Occasional backup support for field trips focused on development of system controls, for all Delphi US customers (e.g. PACCAR)
Represent Delphi Technologies CV at US Trade shows and exhibitions

Basic qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
3 + years Product Engineering Experience within an automotive component industry
3 + years’ experience of 6 Sigma or similar practices
Nice to haves (preferred qualifications) :
Ideal Delphi Technologies Product Experience
Excellent communications skill
Diesel Engine knowledge and experience
Experience of manufacturing processes and factory test methods
Experience of engine control strategies and FIE/ECU software technology beneficial
Good analytical and problem solving skills
