Associate will partner closely with Technical Operations, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, and other Quality team members to ensure quality of sourced materials and positive Supplier Performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans and organizes tasks such as Supplier Selections, Supplier Change Notifications, Supplier Corrective Actions and Supplier Scorecards as well as identifies and pursues improvements to existing processes
Perform Supplier Onsite Audits and review of Self-Assessments ((21 CFR Part 20, ISO 13485 and ISO 9001)
Develop working relationships with external suppliers through strong communication methods (written and verbal).
Assess suppliers for quality and manufacturing capabilities related to specific project need and drive improvements where possible
Measures suppliers’ performance through data analysis and trending.
Conducts trend analysis, identify system issues, summarize findings and prepare reports for key quality and product metrics.
Responsible for supporting Development/Operations Engineering and manufacturing to resolve technical issues and implement corrective and preventive action.
Develop positive relationships and work closely with team to manage and implement supplier/engineering changes, New Product Introductions, and transfers.
Demonstrated ability to lead, acknowledge, develop, communicate & implement a strategy to ensure compliance
Work with supplier to establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to quality procedures and requirements
Follow up on non-conforming issues from the supplier audit, during-process inspection, pre-shipment inspection, quality complaints from internal customers, product returns and safety recalls. Identify / drive root cause analysis, corrective action and preventive action implementation.
Evaluate and disposition non-conforming materials and develop plans to prevent re-occurrence
Expected travel is approximately 20 - 30%.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical function
4 or more years’ experience in supplier quality or quality assurance with a preference for medical device
Knowledge of medical device and ISO regulations, e.g., ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA cGMP, MDD, other global equivalent
Experience in root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action methods
Expertise/experience in problem solving with quality tools such as: 6-sigma / 8-D / CAPA / FMEA/ 5WHY etc.
Auditing skill sets, up to and including certified SQ lead auditor training (ex. ASQ)
Ability to read and understand engineering drawing notations, tolerances, specifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent cross functional team skills and positive attitude
