Leads a team of manufacturing engineers to develop and deliver an optimized supply chain for the NuScale instrumentation & controls (I&C) and electrical components that meets the defined technical and commercial requirements. Responsible for developing the necessary qualified suppliers, managing the I&C and electrical manufacturing and delivery on schedule and on budget, and ensuring a sustainable supply chain to meet future customer demand.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and defines a set of requirements at a system, component or commodity level that are used to guide decisions during the supply chain development process to prepare for manufacturing.
Engages current and prospective suppliers to establish an understanding of manufacturing capabilities and ensures validation of these as required.
Formulates strategies for developing safety and non-safety I&C and electrical DC system manufacturing plans addressing established design requirements.
Leads the activities of a multi-disciplinary team (Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Procurement) to establish the I&C and electrical supply chain, oversee fabrication, and delivery to the installation site.
Directly manages a team of manufacturing engineers.
Establishes the fabrication costs and schedule associated with the I&C and electrical systems at the component, system, or commodity level.
Provides product integration planning and logistics.
Establishes a supply chain and manufacturing risk register for the I&C and electrical systems and manages the mitigation of the risks.
Manages development and delivery of services and equipment leading to a capable supply chain.
Primary responsibility for product supplier relationship management.
Establishes manufacturing agreements for the I&C and electrical components ensuring performance on cost, schedule, and quality.
Ensures activities related to the realization of an OEM product are executed including design for manufacturing, product development testing, configuration management, and component qualification.
Support the design effort to ensure final designs are manufacturable.
Reports status of supply chain development and fabrication to management and stakeholders.
Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
BS or MS in Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. PMP preferred
Minimum 10 years’ experience with at least 2-3 years of nuclear project management experience required. IEEE code experience preferred. Demonstrated experience required in:
Supervisory / Management experience in an engineering/ manufacturing or development related environments. I&C or electrical fabrication or assembly experience preferred.
Leading multi-disciplinary teams in complex manufacturing environments
Negotiations, contracts, and/or supply agreements
Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
Demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1 preferred.
