Fotokite is seeking Applications / Field Engineers to join our rapidly growing team and provide critical support in the deployment of new systems and training of first responders. Your role will give you the opportunity to meet face to face with firefighters and help them develop the confidence to seamlessly integrate this unique tool into their daily routine.
As an Applications Engineer, you will have a chance to develop hands-on experience and gain an in depth understanding of the Fotokite Platform. Working closely with the engineering and sales team, your interactions and customer feedback will directly impact the product development cycle. In this key position, your role will range from testing systems, product support, product demonstrations at trade shows, on site installations and training of active users and external servicing facilities.
Support all aspects of Fotokite testing and demonstrations (from planning to execution, including bringing follow-up action items to closure).
Translate field experience into actionable plans for improvement of the product life cycle and technology roadmap.
Support Fotokite system inspection, maintenance, and installation.
Operate Fotokite systems during field trials, customer demonstrations and provide debriefing reports on a regular basis.
Aid in the design and implementation of Fotokite training processes and operator manual documents.
Provide on-site and remote assistance in integration, training, and technical support to Fotokite customers, dealers and partners.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with two or more years of experience.
Diligent, methodical problem solving skills are a must.
Applicants should be self-motivated with strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
Excellent analytical, time-management and verbal / written communications skills. Should be comfortable interacting with customers!
Bonus: Experience with TCP/IP Networking, Linux, Soldering, Product Assembly. Hands on experience with robotics and aerial drones.
This job can require up to 50 percent travel, more during peak times. May require lifting of packages up to 25lb.
