Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design Management

  • Manage all current designs o Drawing management o Control material specs and tolerance callouts o 3D design for fit/form/function
  • Point person for design updates and changes
  • Point person for new designs and concepts
  • Interact with supply base on all design and cost issues

Project Management

  • Prioritize customer requests internally with Sales Team
  • Provide initial drawing submissions to Sales Team o Drawings to be produced by Engineering Manager or contracted designer
  • Manage PE activity including design updates and sign-off of drawings
  • Coordinate all as-built design activity and resulting drawing updates

Sales Support

  • Provide technical presentation material as needed by Sales Team
  • Participate in customer meetings as needed
  • Travel to customer and project locations as needed

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Become familiar with components and processes for all company products

Support sales team with project execution
Provide solutions to on-site build issues
Promote teamwork with other members of the SMLLC team

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and two years minimum experience in a design/engineering role

Language Skills:
English as primary language. Secondary languages not required

Technical:
Experience with MS Office Suite required (Word, Excel, Timeline, etc.)
AutoCAD (or similar) 3D and 2D required

Reasoning Ability:
Must possess strong reasoning skills to think through daily challenges involving engineering and design issues. Must possess strong strategy, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to manage several activities simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
